Part A:
The Importance of ATP and Enzymes
Part 1 : ATP (adenosine triphosphate) has been called the energy currency of the cell. Briefly outline the cycle by which energy is stored in and released from ATP. Discuss how ATP is critically important to cellular chemical processes.
Part 2 : Enzymes are protein materials that control chemical processes. Describe the specific mechanisms of enzyme function. Pick a specific enzyme and describe its function and the importance of that function to life. Discuss how the loss of that enzyme would disrupt living processes.
Make sure your explanation is informed by the textbook. Your main post should answer both questions , be 600 word long and include a reference section. Each of your replies should be at least 3 lines long and include a reference section. Please gather information related to the topic from your textbook and other reliable sources. Cite all sources used to build your paragraphs at the end of each of your reply.

Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
Cellular respiration and photosynthesis form a critical cycle of energy and matter that supports the continued existence of life on earth. Describe the stages of cellular respiration and photosynthesis and their interaction and interdependence including raw materials, products, and amount of ATP or glucose produced during each phase. How is each linked to specific organelles within the eukaryotic cell. What has been the importance and significance of these processes and their cyclic interaction to the evolution and diversity of life?
The minimum length for this assignment is 1,500 words. Be sure to check your Turnitin report for your post and to make corrections before the deadline of 11:59 pm Mountain Time of the due date to avoid lack of originality problems in your work.

How to build my essay:
1/ Search for sources: you are required to find at least 3 different sources but the more the better because the more sources I read and the more stuff I collect to put in my essay . So for an essay of 1500 words listing a list of 7 sources is not an abnormality. Note sources can include reliable videos. See some tips below:

2/ select keywords for your search and find sources for each of them: for this essay the keywords I suggest are
Mitochondrion, Chloroplast, glycolysis, Citric acid cycle, electron transport chain, light reaction, Calvin cycle, CAM plants versus regular plants, life before oxygen, first autotrophs…
3/ take notes on what you learn from your sources, do not copy stretches from your sources
4/ make a road map of your essay, how will you organize the info you collect? Do they answer the questions you need to answer? Do you need a bit more research to cover an area? Do you have enough info for the required length? What will you put in your introduction and conclusion?
5/ Write your essay away from your sources by simply using your notes, write simple sentences that are clear. Do not use any software that allows you to swap terms with synonyms, that will make your sentences unclear. Make sure your text has an introduction, a main body and conclusion and a list of reference.
6/ Once your essay is put together proof read it and check if each sentence has a subject and a verb. Do they make sense? If some sentences do not seem clear to you then they are not clear to me either.
7/ Check length ( beware a text that is only half of the required length is likely to gather only half of points) and turnitin score and make changes if needed ( text with similarity of 50% receive temporary 0 until revised)
Some of you ask for some help on how to build your project week 3 of 1500 words . So here is an example of a layout if you do not know how to build your essay this week:
Introduction what is energy and ATP why they are important for the cell, connect to photosynthesis and cellular respiration 100 words
Section of photosynthesis: 450 words
1/which organism is doing photosynthesis , which organelle is in charge in the cell and description.
2/ section steps of photosynthesis please simplify , explain with your own words and try not copy and paste
Section of cellular respiration:450 words
1/ which organism is doing cellular respiration , which organelle is in charge in the cell and description.
2/ section steps of cellular respiration please simplify , explain with your own words and try not copy and paste
3/ contrast cellular respiration and fermentation
Section evolution and interaction between the 2 processes 400 words
Explain what is endosymbiosis theory for chloroplast and mitochondrion.
