The world economy has changed so much in the 25 years since World trade Organisation’s
(WTO) establishment and in the 70 years since the General Agreement on Tariff and Trade
(GATT), its predecessor, was born. This changed economic and political context has
triggered the re-emergence of a debate about how the concepts of reciprocity, sustainable
development, and special and differential treatment apply to trade in Globalization 4.0.”
