Introduction
The visual elements are the building blocks that artists use. When thinking about a work of art, thinking about each one of these things, and how the artist in question uses them and what that seems to express, is a good place to start. As you explore the visual elements of art, you will begin noticing them all around you and how they affect your visual environment each day.

Observe the room you are currently in.
List as many of the 7 elements of design do you notice right away?
Using detailed and vivid wording, explain how these elements are used within the design and/or decor of the room you are in?
How can analyzing the elements of design in artwork help you to understand the art piece and/or the artist more throughout this course?
