In this assignment, you will prepare your employee handbook for publication. To do so, meet the following objectives.

  • Revise the content: Use the feedback from your instructor to improve grammar, content, and organization from Unit III. In addition, revisit your work on your own, looking for places where you might need additional content to make your information clear to readers.
  • Organize the information: Consider the LATCH acronym from the Unit IV Lesson, and decide which organizational strategy best fits your content. Choose the order you will present the sections in your handbook as well as where you need headings, subheadings, and/or bulleted or enumerated lists to make information clear. Include page numbers and a separate page for a table of contents.
  • Incorporate visuals: Include a separate title page and at least three visuals in your employee handbook. Your organization’s logo can be one visual. The remaining two visuals should present vital information to readers.

Part I: The finished document should be a total of at least seven pages. This includes the title page and table of contents. While this assignment does not require APA-formatted citations and references to be included, you do need to keep copyright in mind. This handbook is a part of your business, and if you take a copyrighted logo or image from someone, your business could get sued. When searching for visuals, try adding in open source or Creative Commons with your search terms. Be sure that you are uploading the Unit IV Project for grading.

Part II: Revise your Unit III Assignment based off of the feedback from your professor. Do not resubmit this assignment, but add this revised assignment to the My Artifacts section of your e-portfolio for submission in Unit VIII. Click the My Portfolio button in the Course Menu on the left of your screen in Blackboard to work on your e-portfolio.
