Identify technology inventory

OK, we are going to cheat a bit on this assignment, as time hasn’t allowed us to review lighting instruments (including uplighting, gobos, scrims, etc.), sound equipment (volume capabilities or mixing tools), or various video screens (lumen strength, wind penetrability, etc.).  So this assignment I hope you will enjoy, and perhaps inspire the Bob Dylan event planners at the same time.

Call on your creativity to envision how technology could be added to enhance the Bob Dylan event.  Sound, light, and LED screens are a given.  How else might you use technology to create an impression on guests?  your ideas may incorporate sound, light, or LED screens as a part of them, but offer something more to be considered.  Please try to conceive of at least 3 enhancements for which technology may be used.  (I won’t be grading hard on this, except for ideas that involve virtually no thought like: “Add an additional LED screen”, or “use a spotlight for the stage” or “put more speakers in the back of the tent”.  I’d rather get ideas that are far out rather than such retreads.)

We have not emphasized creativity to a very large degree in this class, but it is a vital part of event planning.  And it is always easier to scale back ideas than to enhance a run-of-the-mill thought.  So let yourself go a little wild here.  Think about it when you are driving, or showering, or wherever else you are most relaxed, for creativity comes from a relaxed mind.  I hope you have fun with this – the other assignments have been of the roll-up-your-sleeves kind, so here is one where you can have a little fun.
