Process Management Solutions

Part A:The Scrum Process

Agile project management is a relatively new approach to project management, in which one goal is the improved speed of project execution. The leading agile project management methodology is known as Scrum. Describe the Scrum process for development, touching on each of its key aspects, and compare and contrast it with the more traditional waterfall process of project management. Then discuss the types of projects in which the Scrum method would be the most and least effective.

At least 200 words and be supported by at least one additional professional or academic source.

Part B:

The closing process is often skipped by project teams. In your team discussion area, discuss some of the key deliverables of the closing process and explain why project closeout is a critical step, along with the risks of failing to properly close out a project. Provide your thoughts on why this process is often skipped by project teams, as well as ideas for ensuring that a project team does in fact complete the closing process on all projects.

Part C:

Process Management Solutions

Roderick and Maria are systems analysts with many years of systems development experience at a large firm. Vivian has recently been hired as the company’s first-ever process manager. She has been reviewing the company’s past practices of systems development with the intent of trying to establish a formal systems development process for the company. Roderick has been a long-time proponent of the waterfall approach to systems development. Maria has been a big proponent of the agile development approach. Both are known to be very opinionated on the tools and techniques that should be used for systems development projects and both are lobbying Vivian very hard to adopt their preferred techniques. Vivian is unsure of which method to choose, so she asks you to help.
